Lafarge 9-Month Sales In Romania Up 2.6% On Year

French cement and aggregates producer Lafarge Friday said its sales in Romania rose 2.6% on the year in the first nine months, on higher volumes.

Cement volumes in Romania increased 3.4% on the year in January through September, the French company said in its financial report. Other factors, including price, product and customer mix effects had a negative impact of 0.8% on the result in Romania, Lafarge said.

Worldwide, Lafarge reported a 2% increase in its consolidated sales to EUR11.5 billion in the first nine months.
