Altex Revenue Up 30% To EUR433M In 2015

Electronics retailer Altex, owned by businessman Dan Ostahie, reported revenues worth EUR433 million in 2015, up 30% on the year, the company said Tuesday.

"It is the best year in terms of turnover in the last 12 years, due to economic factors. The VAT cut on food items also supported the consumption of electronics,” said Adrian Urda, Chief Retail Officer, ALTEX Romania.

The Romanian electro-IT market posted the highest growth among the countries in the region last year, increasing by 13%, to nearly EUR2.3 billion.
