Competition Council: Deal Between Auchan, Real Might Need EU Approval

The takeover of German retailer Real’s hypermarket network in Romania by French retailer Auchan might need the approval of the European Commission, considering that the deal targets Real stores in several countries, Competition Council head Bogdan Chiritoiu said Wednesday.
