Government Set To Resume Talks With IMF To Lower VAT On Food

Romania’s Government will resume talks with the International Monetary Fund on lowering VAT on basic food items to 9% instead of the current 24%, as soon as the Agriculture and Finance ministries discuss the matter, Prime Minister Victor Ponta said.
