Holiday Overcrowding Still Occurs Despite Bucharest’s Numerous Stores

Although one quarter of the almost 1,000 modern food retail units are located in Romania’s capital city Bucharest, in the winter holiday period long lines form in most supermarkets. On average, there is currently one supermarket per 8,000 inhabitants in Bucharest at present.
