Lidl And Penny, The Only Two Retailers Left To Fight Price Battle

Lidl and Penny Market, the only two companies left on the local discount retail market, will have over 300 stores by yearend, 45 more than at the beginning of 2012. The two networks, which operate 2,000 to 3,000 square meter stores, have earmarked EUR45 million, according to ZF estimates, for 2012 investments to help them reach as much of the country as possible.
