Modern Retail Systematically Wipes Romanian Traditional Retail Off The Map

The local retail market, which had a little over 88,000 stores at the end of last year, has lost some 6,500 stores over the past four years in traditional retail alone. Although communist-era kiosks and grocery stores closed down, players in modern retail continued to invest, doubling their number of units between 2006 and 2010.
