Multiple VAT Rates Will Only Lead To Fiscal Evasion, Says IMF

The International Monetary Fund wouldn’t recommend Romania charges different sales tax rates for different types of business activities, because the measure will likely lead to tax evasion, IMF mission chief Jeffrey Franks said Wednesday.
