Retailers ‘Ate’ One Third Of Food VAT Cut From 24% To 9%

Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by about 3.6% in the online stores of Carrefour and Cora in the first year of 9% VAT, which means about one third of the about 13% drop in prices that the VAT could should have led to, reveals the ZF food index.
