Romania’s Retail Market Estimated At EUR40B

Romania’s retail market is estimated at EUR40 billion, with four large players controlling 60% of the sector (Kaufland, Carrefour, Metro Cash&Carry and Auchan). After Turkey, Russia, France and Italy, Romania is included in the ranking of countries seeing an increase in retail spaces, according to a survey by credit insurance company Euler Hermes.
