In just 15 months, Romania’s do-it-yourself (DIY) market has undergone radical change, as four groups--Bricostore, Praktiker, BauMax and OBI--decided to leave, another two players, Britain’s Kingfisher and Turkish businessman Omer Susli, decided it was a good time to invest in the field, while French Leroy Merlin found the opportunity to rapidly expand its network.
