Nearly 50% of the over 10 million Romanians with internet access get product information online, then shop offline, according to “Consumer Barometer” instrument, developed by Google.

Moreover, 80% of buyers get online information before buying a product, according to a study by research company Ibi Research.

Traditional stores offer the experience of seeing and trying the product, and 53% of buyers prefer offline stores as they can get the product immediately, according to “Retailers and the Age of Disruption“ report by PwC.

Nevertheless, online shoppers are lured by lower prices, better stocks and a wider range of products.
