Redeleanu, UPC CEO: Most Companies In Telecom Industry Register Growth

Telecom industry is going very well, most of the companies operating in this sector register growth, they are still investing in network expansion, which is very good for economy and the telecom sector, Robert Redeleanu, UPC Romania CEO, told ZF Digital ’15 conference.

Redeleanu said that the companies in the telecom sector need development in rural and small urban zones in order to reach the targets for 2020, adding that, so far, each operator in the telecom sector had its own strategy, which was successful.

“We strongly believe that the infrastructure competition is beneficial for the client, for innovation, even more beneficial than services competition. The lack of regulation in the development of fixed lines led to higher internet speeds in Romania than in Europe,” UPC CEO said.
