ZF Rewards Law Firms Involved In Largest Deals Of 2010

Ziarul Financiar on Tuesday evening presented awards to business law firms that were part of the biggest deals of 2010 on the Romanian market, be it energy, retail, pharmaceuticals or Internet market.
Awards were also presented to the top three law firms in terms of revenues during the second edition of the Lawyer Gala organized by Ziarul Financiar and RBS Bank, Opel and Victoria Men.
- Largest energy deal - Bostina si Asociatii and Mircea Andrei si Asociatii for the takeover of the Giurgiu Thermal Power Plant
- Largest retail deal - the award went to Noerr for assisting Lidl in the takeover of the Plus supermarket chain
- Largest real estate deal - NNDKP and Reff si Asociatii for the deal whereby property investment fund NEPI paid EUR101 million to buy Floreasca Business Park office building in Bucharest
- Largest IT&C deal - White & Case and Popovici, Nitu & Asociatii for their involvement in the Scop Computers deal
- Largest deal in banking, insurance and pension industry - Kinstellar and PeliFilip.
Kinstellar assisted Garanti Bank in the acquisition of a minority interest in GE Garanti Bank, Motoractive IFN, Domenia Leasing and Ralfi, while PeliFilip for assisted GE Money in the sale- Largest deal in healthcare - RTPR Allen & Overy for assisting Advent in buying 80% on Centrul Medical Unirea, and later in the Euroclinic takeover, CMS Cameron McKenna for assisting 3i in the sale of CMU stake and Schoenherr si Asociatii in assisting Wargha Enayati in selling his stake
- Largest agricultural/FMCG deal - Tuca Zbarcea si Asociatii for the Sofiproteol acquisition of Expur Urziceni
- Largest internet deal: Tuca Zbarcea si Asociatii for assisting GED in buying Paravion and Sfaraiala si Asociatii in assisting the seller in this deal.
The highest revenues award went to Tuca Zbarcea si Asociatii, NNDKP and Musat si Asociatii.
The award for Romanian entrepreneur's lawyer went to Woff Theiss for assisting the Dugaesescu family in the sale of a Dumagas stake.
