Average Net Salary In Romania Inches Up In June

The average salary in Romania rose 0.7% in June to 1,818 lei (around 400 euros) from RON1,806 in the previous month, data from the statistics office showed Thursday.

The gross average salary was up 0.6% on the month to RON2,516, the data showed.

Staff in the oil and industry received the biggest paychecks in June, of RON5,019 on average. At the opposite end, hotel and restaurant employees received the lowest monthly salaries, of RON1,032.
