Average Salary Slightly Higher in February

Romanian average net salary rose 0.3% to 1,553 lei (EUR351) in February from RON1,548 a month earlier, the statistics institute INS said Thursday.

Gross average salary also inched 0.3% higher on the month to RON2,144, the data showed.

In February compared with the year-earlier month, Romanian average net salary rose 5.5% in nominal terms. In real terms, the average salary inched down 0.1%. (EUR1=RON4.4228)
