EC Vice-President: Romania Meets Conditions For Excessive Deficit Procedure Repeal

Romania meets conditions for repealing the excessive deficit procedure, with the budget deficit sliding below 3% of the gross domestic product in 2012 and likely to stay below that ceiling in 2013 and in 2014, Olli Rehn, vice-president of the European Commission, said Tuesday at the latest meeting of the Ecofin Council in Brussels.
