Industrial New Orders Up 5.2% On Month In February

Romanian industrial new orders rose 5.2% on the month in February, fueled by growth in most sectors, the statistics institute INS said Friday.

 

New orders in the durable goods sector increased 22.2% in February from the previous month, while orders for capital and consumer goods were up 8.5% and 3.1%, respectively. Demand for intermediate goods inched down 0.6% on the month.

In annual terms, Romanian industrial new orders rose 17% in February, on higher demand across the board.

New orders for capital goods rose 28.8% on the year in February, while orders in the durable and consumer goods sectors were up 25.2% and 5.7%, respectively. Demand for intermediate goods advanced 3.4% year-on-year.
