Unicredit Bank: Romania May Have Trouble Keeping Budget Deficit Under 3% Of GDP In 2019-2020

Romania is facing a difficult end of the economic and electoral cycles and political and fiscal risks will probably increase in 2019-2020, according to Unicredit Bank analysts who also think the Government could have trouble keeping the budget deficit under 3% of the GDP, despite tax hikes in the banking, energy and telecom sectors, and excise tax hikes.
