Unicredit Bank Sees Romania’s GDP Plunging 9.4% In 2020, After Record Contraction Expected In 2Q

Unicredit Bank analysts expect a gradual revival of Romania's economy as of the third quarter of 2020 provided restrictions are gradually eased, the measures taken by the government are efficient and the interest rates stay low, as the bank expects a 9.4% GDP decline for the whole 2020, after a record GDP contraction envisaged in the second quarter of the year.
