Number Of Minimum Guaranteed Income Beneficiaries Declining, Boc Says

The number of Romanians receiving the minimum guaranteed income is declining compared to the end of last year, while controls found errors with 5,384 files, acting Labor Minister Emil Boc said Friday.

Labor Ministry data shows the number of minimum guaranteed income beneficiaries has declined from 232,366 in December 2010 to 198,743 at the end of March 2011.

Boc said controls found problems with 5,384 files for this benefit. Of these, 4,828 files were suspended and 556 were terminated.
