Romanian 2011 Census Reports Fewer Roma Than Estimated – Association

The National Union of Roma Communities (UNCR) states that the figure of 619,000 Roma provided in the preliminary results of the 2011 Romanian census is four-five times lower than recent estimates on the size of the community, and requests that public policies not rely on this number.
